Hi! I am Dian, an educator and artist who believes in the transformative power of arts education. You’ll often find me wearing multiple hats - dancing in a studio, coaching students through their first stage performance, or experimenting with creative technology to make arts more accessible.
My journey has taken me from performing on stage to teaching in a Shanghai high school, where I now split my time between nurturing young artists and supporting students as Director of Student Affairs. Having studied Arts Education at East China Normal University and Arts & Cultural Management at King’s College London, I’ve learned that the most meaningful connections happen when we break down the barriers between different forms of expression.
I get especially excited about blending traditional arts with innovative approaches - whether that’s incorporating AI into choreography, using programming to create interactive performances, or exploring expressive arts therapy. Everything I do is driven by a simple belief: that arts should be a natural, accessible part of everyone's life, not just something we admire from a distance.
Moreover, I am an absolute dog lover! I spent much time with my little chocolate-colored dachshund Loopy, who has always been my biggest support. I am also a level 2.5 tennis lover who is “temporarily retired” due to extremely busy schedule. Hopefully I will be back to that soon.
